| Magnetic Separators As the permanent magnet is widely used all over the world, the wet permanent field magnetic separators are more widely used now. Usually, the permanent magnet is more advantageous than electric magnet; drum type is better than belt type. Currently the drum permanent magnetic separators almost solely occupy the wet magnetic separation field for treatment of strongly magnetic minerals. Now most of magnetic separators have been in series and with permanent field. The separator body structure has semi-counter current (CTB type), counter current (CTN type) and concurrent (CTS type). The semi-counter current type is commonly used in cleaning of – 0.5mm strongly magnetic ore, CTN type for roughing and scavenging of -0.6mm strongly magnetic minerals, as well as for recovery of heavy media in coal preparation. CTS type for roughing and cleaning of -0.6mm strongly magnetic minerals. |
